Upon contact with the surface of the tubular the wiper blades mechanically remove drilling fluids from the outside diameter.

Wiper blade position is adjustable to cover the full range of tubular outside diameters used in drilling and completing wells.

Selection of various ranges of tubular sizes is achieved through changing the end position of the slew ring.

Actuation of the slew ring in the opposite direction retracts the wiper blades to allow full opening of the TYPHOON v.3 and no restrictions for running tools into the hole.

 

The TYPHOON v.3 is also designed with 8 HP washdown nozzles equally spaced around the Tool to provide full coverage. HP washdown can either be configured for water, or for base oil depending on the mud system in use.
